Seven Days Of Superb Tennis At County Championships

The Staffordshire County Tennis Championships yet again showcased the amazing tennis we are lucky to have in the area. From young children venturing out into their first tournament to seasoned veterans, nearly 140 players, across 45 events, travelled to The Albert Tennis Club in Wolverhampton for seven days of top quality tennis.

Congratulations to all players for competing, whether you won or lost, but most importantly for the way you conducted yourself both on and off the court

A huge thanks to The Albert for hosting and to referee Ron Allan for managing the event on behalf of Staffordshire LTA. Also we can’t forget all those parents who took time off work, changed their schedules at the last minute and worked on laptops in their cars, trying to concentrate while their loved ones played but a few metres away. They are the true champions of tournaments and should be mentioned!
