Quarry Bank Tennis Club, renowned for its unwavering commitment to promoting tennis in our community, has hosted a spectacular event, the Quarry Bank Tennis Club Open Championships. This thrilling tournament showcased the finest talents in Men’s and Ladies’ Singles and Doubles, along with the captivating Mixed Doubles category. The event, proudly sponsored by Aashiana Charity, was a celebration of sportsmanship, competition, and community spirit.
The championship finals, held on Sunday 17 September, were a resounding success. It was a day filled with fierce on-court battles, showcasing the exceptional skills of the competitors who gave their all in the quest for victory.
Deputy Lieutenant Gurpreet Bhatia graced the event with his presence, adding a touch of prestige to the proceedings. Representatives from the Aashiana Charity, an organisation committed to making a positive impact on our community, joined us in celebrating this grand sporting occasion. Additionally, Mike Wood, Member of Parliament, was in attendance, showing his support for grassroots sports and community engagement.
The climax of the event saw the esteemed guests, Deputy Lieutenant Gurpreet Bhatia, Charity representatives, and MP Mike Wood, taking centre stage to present the coveted trophies to the deserving winners. Their presence and participation made the award ceremony even more memorable for the competitors and the audience alike.

QBTC Annual Junior Club Championships
The Quarry Bank Tennis Club junior section has over 100 juniors participating in coaching sessions regularly, showcasing our commitment to nurturing young talent.
The recent QBTC Junior Club Championships marked a pinnacle event in the annual calendar, featuring various competition categories, including Red Ball, Orange Ball, Girls/Boys Singles, Girls/Boys Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The impressive turnout showcased not only the enthusiasm but also the skill of our junior players.
The competition witnessed an excellent number of entries, with participants delivering fantastic tennis performances across all age groups and formats. The level of competition was a testament to the dedication and hard work put in by both players and coaches.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate our Annual Christmas Party and Presentation evening on Sunday, December 3rd. This festive event is a time to celebrate the club’s successes throughout the year and recognise the achievements of our young talents.
