Staffs LTA Appoint Competitions Lead

Staffordshire Lawn Tennis Association are delighted to announce the appointment of Grant Chapman as the County Competitions Lead to deliver its new Tournament Strategy.

Grant is currently the Development Coach at Stourbridge Tennis Club and has been involved in coaching for nearly 30 years. He is well known throughout the county for running tournaments at all levels. Grant is also a level 2 Padel Coach. He is married with three children.

Grant Chapman said, “I’m delighted to start as the new Competitions Lead. I’m passionate about organising tennis tournaments and I find it very rewarding to see players of all ages and levels develop.  Staffordshire is full of amazing tennis players and my job is to create more opportunities for them, whatever their age or standard.”

Graham Cole, Staffordshire LTA Chair said, “We are very much looking forward to see Grant develop our new competitions programme.  His appointment shows how important we believe tournaments are to the game and believe this investment will kick-start a whole new era. This will include new national Seniors tournaments plus liaising with clubs for the development of the LTA National Youth League.”
